Fort Worth Museum of Science and History:

a53This museum was established in 1941. Many of the programs are aimed at children and families spending time learning together. The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History has rich collections and engages in a diverse community through it's creative programs and exhibits. These programs and exhibits interpret the science and story of Texas and the Southwest. The museum plays host to 800,000 visitors annually. It is one of the most popular culture attractions in North Texas. The museum is building a new facility in the center of Fort Worth.
 
Exhibits include the special exhibit hall, an outdoor dino digging area, the noble planetarium, a kid space, museum school, and museum camp-ins. The Charlie Mary Noble Planetarium was the first public planetarium in the region. Adults even without children can enjoy the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. The added the Omni Theater in 1983, this made more than half the people visiting adults. the Omni theater was the first IMAX dome theater in the Southwest. Members and cowgirl members enter for free. Adults enter for $8.00 and children for $7.00. The museum is open all days a week with hours varying. Monday through Saturday is it open 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday the museum is open from noon until 5:00 p.m.

 

Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth:

This museum is two miles outside of downtown Fort Worth. It is located only three miles north of Texas Christian University (TCU).This museum has vary collections as well as permanent collections. In the permanent collection there are many movements, styles, and themes represented. This includes abstract and figurative sculptures, contemporary photography and videos. However, to accommodate important temporary exhibitions, few works must sometimes be taken out of view. The museums offers exhibits for adults, teens, children, and educators. The museum has lectures and tours offered upon request.
 
There is a cafe in the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. This is sometimes called a thrilling site for artful food. The cafe is known as Cafe Modern. It overlooks a beautiful, reflecting pond. It offers fine dining and seasonal menu changes. They also have a coffee bar serving Star Bucks selections. They also offer beers and wines for the adults. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. It is open Sunday 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. It is closed on Monday's. Prices include $4.00 for students with i.d. and seniors over 60 years of age. General admission for adults and children over 13 is $10.00. Children under 12 and modern members are admitted for free.

Amon Carter Museum:
 

This museum has various programs. Some include gallery talks, tours, reading groups, as well as many other programs. They have special exhibits with snapshots, paintings, watercolors, illustrated books, sculptures, and prints. The exhibitions vary and are constantly changing. They have lectures on specific dates and times. They host performances by non-profit theater groups. Tickets are available free but you must have a ticket to watch the performance. They also have films with dialogs.  Another program they have is Target Family Fun days. These are held often but have specific dates.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday the museum is open from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday the museum is open from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday the museum is open noon until 5:00 p.m. The museum is closed every Monday as well as major holidays.


Kimbell Art Museum: 

This museum offers themed exhibits offered over an extended period of time. However, the museum does have a permanent exhibit. The permanent exhibit offers less than 350 works and is considered small. These works are distinguished by their amazing level of quality and importance. This museum offers european, asian, precolumbian, african, and oceanic art. The programs at Kimbell Art Museum aim to enhance the understanding and appreciation of a variety of artwork. This includes their historical and cultural points. They offer a variety of educational resources for adults, children, teachers, students, and universities.
 
They offer symposiums on current exhibits and music by selected artists. They offer art camps for children on spring break and summer break. This museum has a buffet restaurant for lunch, beverages, and deserts. On Friday's a light dinner of soups, salads, pasta dishes, and vegetables is included. Wheelchairs are available on request. The museum is closed on Mondays and major holidays. It is open Tuesday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Fridays the museum is open noon until 8:00 p.m. Saturdays the museum is open 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sundays the museum is open noon until 5:00 p.m. Admission is always free to the permanent collection. However, there is a charge for special exhibitions. Tuesday, all day, special exhibition admission is offered at half-price and on Fridays from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Stage West: 

This theater operates under Actors' Equity Association. This Actors' Equity Association includes profession unions of theatrical actors in the United States. This also includes stage managers. The theater has been in operation for over 25 years. The theater is acclaimed for it's excellent plays and musicals. The theater has played in a wide range of works. These works include: classic american and world drama, Shakespeare, Shaw, contemporary and broadway musicals.  Stage West has had new works performed written by aspiring playwrights. This including 12 world premieres.
 
Stage West is a part of a non-profit corporation including Stage West and The Fort Worth Shakespeare Festival, which is not currently in production. This corporation calls itself the Allied Theater Group. Hours of the theater's box office operation depends on whether it is a performance week or non-performance week. During a performance week, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday it is open noon till 5:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday it is open noon till 9:00 p.m. During non-performance weeks the theater box office operates noon till 5:00 p.m.
 
Ticket prices are subject to change and often do with discount prices and specific dates. Regular tickets are $28.00 on Friday and Saturday evening and $24.00 on Thursday and Sunday matte. Tickets may be purchased on line or in person. Audition times are posted on line and can also be found out by means of the theater. Appointments for auditions need to be called in and scheduled prior to coming in for an audition.
 

Bass Performance Hall: 

The Crown jewel of Sundance Square is another name for the Bass Performance Hall. This hall is located on the 4th and 5th streets of the Historic Sundance Square District of downtown Fort Worth. The bass performance hall is a 2,056-seat multipurpose performance hall. It has a class european opera house form to it. The hall opened in May 1998. the Hall is known for it's fantastic acoustics and amazing sight lines. It is also known for it's ambiance on the level with the great performance halls of the world. Performing Arts Fort Worth is a non-profit organization. This organization looks over the management of the Bass Performance Hall as well as the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. For tours of the Bass Performance Hall, they are held on Saturday's at 10:30 a.m. The halls hours of operation depend on performance times, scheduled tours, and box office operation.
